I was very tentative about taking the plunge into school.  I am almost 50 years old and thought that I might be too old to learn new tricks.  I am still amazed at the care and concern that my instructor shows.  She is so encouraging and supportive.  I have never heard her say that she is too busy to help.  Even more astounding to me is the camaraderie among the students in the program.  I know that anytime I have a question, I can ask my schoolmates and someone will step up and help.  There is a real sense of kinship that extends beyond the usual classroom chatter.  If someone is having a tough day or is struggling with the kids or hubby’s deployment, everyone rallies around to offer support. The decision to join TRS institute has been one of the best of my life.  After a lot of research, and few wrong turns, I found TRSi by doing a search through the AAMT website.  The things I found most appealing were the military spouse program, the certification by AAMT, and the job placement program.  I really liked what the curriculum had to offer and when I got a call back from them, I knew this was the place for me.  The course was a lot of work.  I had to put some time in everyday to my studies.  By doing this, I began to train myself and my family of what to expect when mom works at home.  Throughout the course, everyone was so wonderful.  My instructor and all of the other instructors were always available when I had a question.  My classmates are all on instant messenger and there was always someone available when I needed some help or just an encouraging word.
