What our Students Have to Say:
I was very tentative about taking the plunge into school. I am almost 50 years old and thought that I might be too old to learn new tricks. I am still amazed at the care and concern that my instructor shows. She is so encouraging and supportive. I have never heard her say that she is too busy to help. Even more astounding to me is the camaraderie among the students in the program. I know that anytime I have a question, I can ask my schoolmates and someone will step up and help. There is a real sense of kinship that extends beyond the usual classroom chatter. If someone is having a tough day or is struggling with the kids or hubby’s deployment, everyone rallies around to offer support. I have been in many classroom learning environments, and this is the first time I have seen such a sense of fellowship among the students and staff. TRSi was definitely the right choice for me, and I look forward to the day when I can proudly say that I am a TRS employee. - Catherine Reiman, Ohio
The decision to join TRS institute has been one of the best of my life. After a lot of research, and few wrong turns, I found TRSi by doing a search through the AAMT website. The things I found most appealing were the military spouse program, the certification by AAMT, and the job placement program. I really liked what the curriculum had to offer and when I got a call back from them, I knew this was the place for me. The course was a lot of work. I had to put some time in everyday to my studies. By doing this, I began to train myself and my family of what to expect when mom works at home. Throughout the course, everyone was so wonderful. My instructor and all of the other instructors were always available when I had a question. My classmates are all on instant messenger and there was always someone available when I needed some help or just an encouraging word. Having a background in medical terminology and physical sciences really helped me in my studies, as they were pretty in-depth. I love to learn new things, and I did just that--everyday. TRSi is much more than an online school to me. It is a community of people that have something in common; they love to learn and they love to help other people to learn. I could not be happier with the education I have received and am still receiving from TRSi, and I would make the decision to join this community again any day. - Briget Rischawy - Hawaii, Military Spouse
I had been thinking about going to school for a while now, but just never took that first step. I was worried, with my husband being deployed, that I wouldn't spend that extra time with the kids that they may need. I wanted to be able to be home for them all day. As a miltary spouse, there is also the thought that we may have to pick up and move from one week to the next, at a moment's notice. Had I chose to go to classes or get a job, I would be forced to quit. That's when I decided TRS Institute was the way to go for me. They offer a medical transcription course for military spouses. All your courses are taken online, which means I can work towards my future at home! They have a very flexible payment plan for tuition, they offer military scholarships, and best of all, your medical transcription career will go with you anywhere in the world! I love my classes and all the new information and transcription styles I am learning. It is wonderfully challenging! I work at my own pace, we have a weekly webinar in which the current students and our online instructor all attend. I have access to my progress immediately, and our progress is monitored daily. I could go on and on about all the great things I've discovered with TRS Institute. I would strongly recommend TRS Institute to other military spouses. It's a wonderful, rewarding career path. TRS and TRS Institute have especially recognized the military spouse and our mobile and demanding lifestyles. Not only do they support our troops, but us, the military spouse, too. - Mandy Vasquez-Ochoa, Texas, Military Spouse
